Community Outreach

9/26/2019

Panacetacea feels strongly about educating local communities about marine mammals and the marine environment in Panamanian waters. We conducted several community outreach days this season, including talks with local families about marine mammals, and a meeting with local boat captains about best practices during whale watching trips. Whale watching is becoming more and more popular in Panama and it's important to educate both the tour operators and the general public about how to have a wonderful whale watching experience without disturbing the animals. Thank you to all who participated!
